Brian Jameson is Co-Managing Director of Tattiemoon. Together with Producer Helen Doherty, he founded Tattiemoon in 2005; they have already produced a straight to video Christmas Special for Balamory and created ‘Me Too!’ a 150 episode Children’s drama series.
After training as an actor at RADA Brian appeared in his first leading role at Olivier’s National Theatre and continued to work in many theatres around the country. He began his Television directing career with the BBC where he also started to write extensively. He has now established himself as a leading children’s TV Producer working for the BBC, ITV and many independent companies. He won a BAFTA, Scottish BAFTA and a Broadcast award for his creation of the ever popular ‘Balamory’. Never wishing to get into a rut Brian has had his own pet projects such as working with Travellers in Ireland on Drama projects and continually writing and creating new ideas.
Helen Doherty is Co-Managing Director of Tattiemoon. Together with her business partner, Brian Jameson, she produced the highly successful and award winning pre-school series Balamory, delivering over 250 x 20 minute live action programmes to the BBC between 2002 and 2004. Balamory has aired across the UK, Europe, Canada and America and has been a commercial success for BBC Worldwide.
Helen graduated from Drama School in Edinburgh in 1993 and immediately joined the BBC where she worked across a diverse selection of programmes including HOGMANAY LIVE, RAB C NESBITT, ONLY AN EXCUSE, LIVE & KICKING and of course BALAMORY. She has also worked for various other Broadcasters including Scottish Television and Granada on programmes such as HIGH ROAD and CORONATION STREET. Helen has been working continuously in Television for the past fourteen years as Production Manager, Director and Producer.
